packet pickup details
You must present a valid government-issued picture ID to pick up your Mambo race packet.  If you would like someone else to pickup your packet, the process for Proxy Packet Pick-up is as follows. The proxy must present a photocopy of the participant’s and the proxy’s government-issued photo ID. The copy of the ID will be retained until the completion of the event weekend as proof of packet distribution. There are no exceptions to this rule.

Virtual race bags
The Mardi Gras Mambo utilizes Virtual Race Bags to distribute great offers and goodies from our sponsors to our registered runners. Virtual race bags will be sent via email to Mambo registrants on February 9, 2017 and are available online until March 30, 2017.

pre-race and post-race Location

All race day activity will take place in downtown Baton Rouge.  The 2017 Mambo will start and finish on North Boulevard, near the North Boulevard Town Square.  The Post-Race entertainment will be hosted from Galvez Plaza.  See race guide for more details.

Gear Check
Gear check will open at 7a.m. in Live Oak Plaza.

parking
Street parking in downtown Baton Rouge is limited.  Nearby garage parking will be located one block north of the North Boulevard Town Square at the corner of Third Street and Convention.  Additional garage parking is also available at the RiverCenter parking garages on St. Louis Street, about two blocks south of the North Boulevard Town Square.  Click here for an interactive map of downtown Baton Rouge, including parking garages.

Costume Contest
Costumes are a fun tradition of Carnival season, so dress up to Run Mardi Gras!  There are four categories for the 2017 contest: individual child or individual adult and groups (2-4 people) of children or groups (2-4 people) of adults.  You must register at the Raising Cane's tent at the Post Race Fete in order to be eligible to win.  Winners get gift cards and baskets from Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers! #OneLove

Race Transfers
Race transfers are permitted between the 10k and 15k races. Transfers will be allowed between now and February 10, 2017.  No transfers will be allowed on race day.  All transfers must be completed online using GetMeRegistered.com. Click here to visit the registration page, then scroll down to Athlete Race Division Change.  You will need your original race transaction code to transfer races; that information can be found in your email registration confirmation.  If you no longer have that information, email us at mambo@brasf.com and we can send you your transaction code.  Below are our transfer fees for the 2017 Mambo:

Transfer Fees:
Transfer from 10k to 15k: $30 per runner
Transfer from 15k to 10k: $15 per runner

RACE deferrals 
Race deferrals are permitted for a $10 fee.  Deferrals will be allowed between now and February 10, 2017.  No deferrals will be allowed on race day.  All deferrals must be completed online using GetMeRegistered.comClick here to visit the registration page, then scroll down to Defer to 2018.  You will need your original race transaction code to transfer races; that information can be found in your email registration confirmation.  If you no longer have that information, email us at mambo@brasf.com and we can send you your transaction code.
